For quite some time it is one of my spare time activities to build IoT and smart home devices using Raspberry Pi SBCs – not only to keep my linux administration and python skills from getting rusty. But mainly because I have fun customizing digital devices so that they fit the given requirements perfectly and make peoples’ lives easier.
However, documentation is something that gets easily neglected. Once a project runs as expected, I usually forgot about its configuration as long as it did its job. But once it didn’t, sometimes after several years, maintenance came with the hassle of finding out again what configuration files and measures exactly I had used to make the Pi do what it should.
This is why I decided to launch this page. I intend to document my projects here, mainly for my own reference. If my documentation helps other people with similar projects, that’s a welcome side effect.
